A Russian Teacher recorded the differences in the development of boys and girls of the same age.

I can tell you as a former boy, this is purely because they think the activity is stupid. Instruct them to go catch an animal and they will organize into a command structure, invent traps/weapons, and terrorize every cat in the neighborhood until they achieve their objective.

I remember asking my father when I was about 10 years old (late 40’s now) “Dad, why do you prefer coaching girls basketball and not boys basketball?” “3 reasons” he said. “First, they work much harder. Second, they don’t complain as much. Third, they’re just…smarter.” This information stuck with me to the point that from that day forward, whenever we had to pick teams for any reason, I always picked a girl with my first pick. The decision was purely psychological. Although I got razzed by my male classmates, by the time the competition had ended, my team had won and the girls were pretty smitten with the fact that I went with them over a boy. #winning

I’m surprised how few people know that this is an actual biological and psychological phenomenon

Obedience and development are different things

Not to invalidate the study – it could be perfectly legitimate and perhaps they’re all trying

But women / girls tend to follow instructions more

    5. The boys are just messing around. The girls are doing as they’re told. Biology is involved there as well.

While I don’t doubt there are physiological differences, what about the differences in conditioning? Girls are conditioned very early on to be cooperative and not cause any problems. This is why many women are now getting late diagnosed as neurodivergent.

Judging from this, I have a hard time imaging these boys just walking normally. It looks like they just found out they have limbs.

I remember this being posted before, and the comments were basically saying that 1) Girls tend to be more… group oriented and thrive more in group situations like this.

And 2) That girls and maybe even women groups tend to solidly as a group very early on but then develop group dynamics that harm this, while boy and men groups tend to have a lot of group disharmony early on but over time tend to improve that.

Check out the film “mister nobody against Putin”, it’s a documentary about war propaganda in schools in modern Russia. It’s legit (i am Russian)

    10. They’re just taught at a young age on what to do and say to avoid conscripment in the Russian military

    11. I’m assuming this is because girls tend to play a lot of rhythmic games (patty cake hand games, jump rope, hop scotch, sing songs) for fun, whereas boys tend to run around or build stuff or do more physical activities. Not trying to generalize. Just my experience working with kids and my memories growing up playing with both groups

    12. They say girls mature faster than boys, but boys eventually catch up. Usually by their late 30s.

The boys not wanting to follow instructions does not mean boys are unable to follow instructions.

    14. With no actual background information this is a pointless post…the girls could’ve trained this drill 50 times while the boys were just shown today. The boys could’ve been instructed to do it this way while the girls instructed to be in sync. Anything posted online needs to be looked at for bias because it’s in almost everything online.

I thought it would be a time lapse deal showing them over time. Highly dubious example of….something.

In general, females take direction better. In my anecdotal evidence, women tend to be superior marksmen training them from the ground up. They listen and pay attention better.

Even discounting physiology (a braced or prone position) they are substantially better early on.

Comment section is a disaster. Posts like this only prove one thing. The average redditor cannot neither extrapolate meaningful data given information and will bring whatever extreme bias into their own opinion that they share as a fact.

    17. Seems pretty damn stupid to call this out as “differences in development”.
How many boys at that age take joy in dancing compared to the girls? What’s the “development difference” when the activity is instead changed to wrestling or some other contactsport?

      Calling out this crap.

This explains why I cant dance but my daughter can just see one move then know the whole routine.

Anyone else freaked out about how close some of those kids were that Russian window?

    20. Having raised kids of both genders, this checks out. My daughters in their dance and cheerleader stuff show good precision and synchronization.

The boys, their stll gawky as heck at 14 and 12.
